NH State House, hundreds of citizens came together to provide testimony to the House Criminal Justice and Safety Committee in regards to HB 135. The citizens who took valuable time out of their busy schedules arrived and gave testimony both in support of and in opposition to HB 135. After a particularly moving statement from a citizen in opposition of HB 135, there were a few who clapped briefly showing their support. It was at this point that the Chair showed her true bias and her true ideology by saying, "Show some respect for the members of this committee. We are forced to sit here and suffer through this…I am not going to tolerate this!"

"Suffer through this" ...That is to say that the chairwoman listening to voters voicing their opinions on legislation is to suffer. This is the Democrat leadership's opinion of listening to New Hampshire voters. This is without a doubt the most divisive, extreme leadership we have ever seen in the State House. Candidate for NHGOP Chair Andrew Hemingway, who attended the hearing yesterday, said "I was at the hearing and hundreds of citizens sacrificed time from their jobs and families to attend this hearing and were disrespected by the comments of the chairwoman. I am calling for her immediate removal as Chair of the committee. If the burden of listening to voters is too great for the chairwoman, than it is incumbent upon Speaker Norelli to remove her as chair and replace her with one that respects the voice of the people."

He continued, "Following the removal of the Redress of Grievances committee and now these statements, it is becoming apparent that this Democrat-lead House is not interested in hearing from the citizens of New Hampshire. They were elected to represent the voters of New Hampshire, yet their unwillingness to listen begs the question: Who exactly are they representing?"

<TD style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 9px;
More immediate and very important is bill HB 135 on Tuesday Jan 22nd at 1:00. This is a bill sponsored by the Democrat's Majority Leader Steve Shurtliff, that would repeal "stand your ground". "Stand Your Ground" was added to the Castle Doctrine by the Republicans in 2011, which permitted deadly force when a person is threatened in a place that they have the right to be. We need everyone to load the Statehouse and tell their legislators to not give up one inch of our rights. !

The committee hearing is Tuesday Jan. 22. at 1:00 PM.

Please be seen and heard to stop this Democrat bill that will erode our rights.

"Al Baldasaro, R-Londonderry, the chair of the House Veteran's Affairs Committee, began feeling chest pains while at the State House and drove himself to Concord Hospital, where is expected to remain for at least a few more days."
"I had a chance to speak with Al this morning, and he is recovering well and expects to get back quickly into his legislative activities," House Speaker Bill O'Brien told WMUR Political Scoop. "He is certainly one tough Marine, and I know that he will come out of this strong. It's going to take a lot more than this to keep Al Baldasaro down. We wish him a full and speedy recovery."

On behalf of Representative Baldasaro I wish to thank all of you for your prayers and concern. I wish I could call each and every one of you and tell you personally. I want to share with you that Al Baldasaro is doing better today than he was Thursday after he suffered a serious heart attack at the State House. He drove himself to the hospital because we all know he is a tough Marine. He calls this heart attack a "temporary setback". The doctors at the Concord Hospital took great care of him and they immediently rushed him into the OR where they inserted a stint into a artery that was completely blocked.

I wish to share with you that he is as happy as always, and he is the best patient. He never complains about anything. He wants to make sure everyone knows his situation, because it is difficult for him to talk on the phone, email and text right now. He is most worried about his constituents and that he isn't available to help them right now. That is exactly what he was doing at the State House before he decided he could't wait anymore and that he needed to get to the hospital.

He will be in the hospital until at least Sunday or Monday. We do not know when he will be discharged. We expect he will not be able to drive or go to meetings at the State House for at least a week, and only resume activities as the doctors approve them.

The activity of visits and phone calls has been exhausting for him, and he would love to talk to each one of you, but it is difficult for him to do so at this time.

God Bless you and thank you for all of your Prayers,

I am a North School PTA member. My children are involved with soccer and lacrosse outside of school. This year I brought in Ski and Snowboard Club to the elementary school level and coordinated the North School Group. All relationships I have forged within the schools have been positive. I feel I have a vested interest in the success of the Londonderry school system and am excited at the prospect of serving on the School Board.

I have three children, one at North School, one at Moose Hill and one entering pre-school in the fall at KBC. Currently, I am a stay at home parent. My past work includes being an office manager for a multi-million dollar business, my duties included accounting, managing a small staff, customer relations, inter business relations and insurance work. I have also worked for the US Census Bureau as an Office Operations Supervisor. I managed all incoming and outgoing paperwork, was an overseer for data entry, supervised over 200 employees inside and outside the office. My organizational and innovative style was recognized and I was sent to the after-action committee for the Census Bureau to provide input on future Census procedures.

I feel my time on the School Board would be well spent serving a community my family and I have lived in since 2006. We moved to Londonderry with a two and a half year old son, knowing that when the time came to start school, Londonderry had an exceptional school system. I grew up in a school system very similar to Londonderry. Education expectations of staff and pupils were high. The two high schools were annually ranked highly in the state and had varied classes and college level offerings, which were cutting edge in the 1990s. I have also had the opportunity to live in a variety of places around the world and see different educational systems and how they work. I have seen many different formulas for exceptional education, and will bring that diverse and new perspective to the table if elected to school board.

I view the schools as a system and have the experience to bring innovation to facilitate the school's needs. I have the accounting and payroll background to make the numbers work, and I possess the interpersonal skills to work on the School Board as a team member. I am ready to fight for the needs of the children to ensure their education is tops. If elected to School Board, I will have no other local government commitment and can focus my energy toward the School Board's priorities. If elected I welcome parents, tax payers, and school employees to be in contact with me directly.

I humbly ask for your consideration on Election Day.

Melanie Tamburello

Royal Lane

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1456912096496919040.post-53796283400311835892012-03-08T23:17:00.001-05:002012-05-06T21:36:33.236-04:00EXAMPLE BALLOT OF MY RECOMENDATIONS OF VOTING DOWN SPENDING ITEMS THAT RAISE YOUR PROPERTY TAXES

WE MADE MAJOR CUTS IN CONCORD ON THE BUDGET, TO PROTECT THE TAXPAYERS AND I AM VOTING NO ON ALL ARTICLES ON THE SCHOOL AND TOWN ELECTIONS THAT RAISE OUR PROPERTY TAXES!!!

Enough is Enough!

Fellow Residents,

On March 13, please exercise your constitutional right to vote on town & school spending bills which will raise your property taxes 3 to 4 hundred dollars the 1st year, then a few hundred more the 2nd and 3rd year. I will be supporting the re-election of Councilor Sean O’Keefe, one who is a long time resident and in my opinion is a "tell it like it is" kind a person. You show up to more meetings than anyone in our town, to speak up for or against issues, which is a push toward transparency in our government. Melanie Tamburello who is a member of the PTA, a mother with 3 kids with a financial business management background, wants to ensure that our school district has a new set of eyes in ensuring that our kids are 2nd to none in competing with other countries in the future. We are fortunate to finally have someone educated with an Accounting background to ensure that the town is accountable to the people when signing those checks. Adriana Komst Integrity & Loyalty is above and beyond, one who has been in town for many years, works as a financial/accounting manager and in my opinion will be a major asset to the town when it comes to accountability to the taxpayers.

In closing, I hope to see you at the polls where I will be voting for new voices on the School Board, Melanie Tamburello & Glenn Douglas.
I have viewed his record, while I don’t agree with on a couple of decisions, but of hundreds that he has made, Governor Rick Perry does have a very impressive record in taking care of Veterans, Businesses and jobs. His less taxes mentality in Texas have attracted many to his state.

I believe that many off his Texas accomplishments would be an asset for our country and the Governor has an great record to stand on.

Rick Perry was a Pilot in the Air Force for 11 years. OOH RAH!!!

Without hesitation, I Enthusiastically Endorse Rick Perry for President!
It takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 jobs a month just to keep up with population growth. So shouldn't we hold off a bit before we declare the economic crisis to be over?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#2 During the "recession", somewhere between 6.3 million and 7.5 million jobs were lost. During the "Obama recovery", approximately 535,000 jobs have been added. When will the rest of the jobs finally come back?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#3 Of the 535,000 jobs that have been created during the "Obama recovery", only about 35,000 of them are permanent full-time jobs. If our economy is recovering, then why can't it produce large numbers of good jobs that will enable people to provide for their families?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#4 Agricultural commodities have been absolutely soaring this decade. The combined price of cotton, wheat, gasoline and hogs is now more than 3 times higher than it was back in 2002. So how in the world can the Federal Reserve claim that inflation has been at minimal levels all this time?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#5 Back in 2008, banks had a total of 27 billion dollars in excess reserves at the Fed. Today, banks have a total of approximately 1.5 trillion dollars in excess reserves at the Fed. During the first quarter of 2011, home values declined at the fastest rate since late 2008. So can we really talk about a "recovery" when the real estate crisis continues to get worse?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#9 According to a shocking new survey, 54 percent of Americans believe that a housing recovery is "unlikely" until at least 2014. So how is the housing industry supposed to improve if so many people are convinced that it will not?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#10 The latest GDP numbers out of Japan are a complete and total disaster. During the first quarter GDP declined by a stunning 3.7 percent. Of course I have been saying for months that the Japanese economy is collapsing, but most mainstream economists were absolutely stunned by the latest figures. So will the rest of the world be able to avoid slipping into a recession as well?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#11 Next week, Republicans in the House of Representatives are going to allow a vote on raising the debt ceiling. Everyone knows that this is an opportunity for Republican lawmakers to "look tough" to their constituents (the vast majority of which do not want the debt ceiling raised). Everyone also knows that eventually the Republicans are almost certainly going to cave on the debt ceiling after minimal concessions by the Democrats. The truth is that neither "establishment Republicans" nor "establishment Democrats" are actually serious about significantly cutting government debt. So why do we need all of this political theater?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#12 Why are so many of our once great manufacturing cities being transformed into hellholes? In the city of Detroit today, there are over 33,000 abandoned houses, 70 schools are being permanently closed down, the mayor wants to bulldoze one-fourth of the city and you can literally buy a house for one dollar in the worst areas.
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#13 According to one new survey, about half of all Baby Boomers fear that when they retire they are going to end up living in poverty. So who is going to take care of them all when the money runs out?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#14 According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average of about 5 million Americans were being hired every single month during 2006. Today, an average of about 3.5 million Americans are being hired every single month. So why are our politicians talking about "economic recovery" instead of "the collapse of the economy" when hiring remains about 50 percent below normal?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#15 Since August, 2 million more Americans have left the labor force. But the entire period from August to today was supposed to have been a time of economic growth and recovery. So why are so many Americans giving up on looking for a job?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#16 According to Gallup, 41 percent of Americans believed that the economy was "getting better" at this time last year. Are Americans losing faith in the U.S. economy?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#17 According to the U.S. Census, the number of children living in poverty has gone up by about 2 million in just the past 2 years, and one out of every four American children is currently on food stamps. During this same time period, Barack Obama and Ben Bernanke have told us over and over that the U.S. economy has been getting better. So what is the truth?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#18 America has become absolutely addicted to government money. 59 percent of all Americans now receive money from the federal government in one form or another. Americans hate having their taxes raised and they hate having their government benefits cut. So is there any hope that this will ever be turned around before disaster strikes?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#19 The combined debt of the major GSEs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Sallie Mae) has increased from 3.2 trillion in 2008 to 6.4 trillion in 2011. How in the world is the U.S. government going to be able to afford to guarantee all of that debt on top of everything else?
<span style="font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">#20 If the U.S. national debt (more than 14 trillion dollars) was reduced to a stack of 5 dollar bills, it would reach three quarters of the way to the moon. The U.S. government borrows about 168 million dollars every single hour. If Bill Gates gave every penny of his fortune to the U.S. government, it would only cover the U.S. budget deficit for 15 days. So how in the world can our politicians tell us that everything is going to be okay?
Help Make A Difference By Sharing

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
